Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), The Ekrem Dognay Quran Center in the Turkish city of Yenicaga was reopened yesterday, a few years after it was closed for repairs and renovation.
According to dikkathaber, the center’s building has been rebuilt and new classes have been added to accommodate more students. The renovation project was carried out with the financial support of charity foundations and the city’s Muslim people.
The Ekrem Dognay Quran Center is run by Turkey’s Dianat (religious affairs) department and holds Quran memorization and recitation courses for school students as well as adults.
Before it was closed, the center had some 300 students.
Turkey is a member of the Organization of Islamic Countries and over 95 percent of its population is Muslim.
